Senior Project Engineer- Water/Wastewater

The Water Wastewater Senior Project Engineer will provide support for civil and environmental engineering projects including wastewater collection system infrastructure evaluation, rehabilitation, and design, and water distribution system design.
Location: Austin, TX
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience
- Texas-Licensed P.E. certification
- Minimum ten years of experience working with Austin WWW clients/projects.
- This position will require an estimated local travel/field work for site inspections and meetings with client site representatives and construction contractors.
- Excellent writing/verbal communication skills for interaction with multi-disciplinary staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Excellent organization and design planning skills.
- Self-starter, detailed oriented, and finisher.
- Proficient in using typical business software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Adobe, etc.).
- AutoCAD/GIS operating knowledge is preferred.
Expected Outcomes:
- Technical report writing
- Pipeline routing alternatives design and analysis.
- Field investigations/site reconnaissance
- Project permitting with DFW clients and coordination with regulatory agencies.

- Utility coordination
- Erosion/sedimentation control and tree protection plans
- Engineering cost estimating and analysis.
- Wastewater flow development and hydraulics analysis
- Engineering design calculations
- Engineering specification review and preparation of contract documents for construction
- Bid and award services.
- Construction phase engineering services.
- Prepare project scopes of work and budget estimates.
- Coordinate with team surveying, geotechnical, structural engineering, and electrical engineering subconsultants.
- Coordinate with internal QA/QC reviewers, financial analysts, and administrative assistants.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
Salary Range: $80,800 - $107,800 - $134,700
