Weston is seeking an Environmental Construction Inspector for Environmental Field Operations.  This position is responsible for Performing Environmental Inspection services on projects that include elements primarily pertaining to Asbestos and Lead Abatement Projects.

 

Location: New York/New Jersey

 

This position is 100% on site at PANYNJ facilities in the NY and NJ metro area.

 

REQUIREMENTS - Reporting to the Environmental field Operations Facility Supervisor, the Environmental Inspector will be required to: have full knowledge and familiarity with associated Contract Documents, ensure that construction work is performed in accordance with the contract drawings, specifications and all applicable codes and standards.  Recognize and evaluate potential items of extra work in terms of their impact and alert supervisor of those discoveries – and when requested, provide justification; comment on, and approve quantities of work related to such projects in a timely fashion; ensure the completion of daily narratives, daily labor reports for Time & Material work as well as conduct site inspections as required.

 

In addition, the Environmental Inspector will be required to have:

 

  • A valid C3 De-leading for superstructures with a NJ supplement certificate.
  • NJ Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor Certifications
  • AHERA Inspector Certification
  • A valid NJ Asbestos Safety Technician certification
  • NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector and Project Monitor Licenses
  • OSHA 30-hour construction safety, and fall protection, confined space and permit required confined space entry and certification in work zone safety.
  • Ability to stay late or come in early as needed.  Some night and weekend shifts will be required.
  • Ability to obtain a SWAC card.
  • Valid Driver's license is required.  
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

 

 

 

 

Salary Range: $40,400 - $53,900 - $67,300
