About the Role  
We are seeking a seasoned salesperson with a strong background in the electrical vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure industry. The ideal candidate will have a robust network of commercial and industrial clients and a proven track record in technical sales of turnkey design-build services.  
Location: Nationwide (Preferred Chicago, IL Metropolitan Area or Hartford/New Haven, CT Area)   
Expected Outcomes:  
  • Leverage your existing network to generate new business opportunities in the EV charging infrastructure market.
  • Drive the entire sales process: identify and qualify potential leads, meet with clients, develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a sales strategy focused on Top 5 sectors/verticals.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and project management teams to ensure the successful delivery of turnkey design-build services.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and grow relationships with industry hardware, software, and related suppliers to further enhance our offerings.
Qualifications:  
  • College Degree, Preferred
  • 10 years of experience in outside sales, account management, and/or business development, with at least 3 years in the EV charging infrastructure. 
  • A working knowledge of infrastructure services and project management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:   
  • Proven experience in sales within the EV charging infrastructure industry.
  • Strong network of commercial and industrial clients.
  • Demonstrated success in technical sales and the ability to understand and sell complex products.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results driven.
  • Rapid growth in opportunity funnel, with demonstrated success in closing new business sales.
  • Establishing Weston as a provider of turnkey consulting, design, installation, and related services supporting our clients EV charging needs
  • Actively collaborate with the Private Sector and State/Local Government Business Team leads.
  • Have experience in working with utility companies and understanding the role they play in the various energy disciplines.
  • Understand the various types of incentives the Energy industry is seeing, and to roll that into a successful sales strategy
  • Lead Account Teams through strategic pursuits sales lifecycle including prospecting, positioning, capture planning, proposal development, interviews and closing.  
  • Develop a positive rapport and trusting relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Maintain strong client relationships with existing clients and develop new client relationships that allow for expanded business.
  • Excellent technical skills with clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and strategic thinking.

Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range: $112,200 - $149,600 - $187,000
