Position Requirement:
- 2-4 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1-2 years specifically in an SEZ environment or export/import business.
- Familiarity with GST, customs duties, and tax exemptions specific to SEZ operations.
- Proficiency in accounting software like Tally, SAP, Dynamics 365, and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Indian GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SEZ-specific regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with stakeholders, government authorities, and auditors.
Role & Responsibilities:
Financial Record Keeping and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with SEZ rules and regulations.
- Ensure all transactions comply with SEZ-specific tax exemptions and regulatory frameworks.
GST and Taxation Compliance:
- Ensure proper accounting and reporting of GST, Customs Duties, and other taxes.
- Maintain records for input tax credits (ITC) and manage zero-rated export provisions.
- Prepare data for GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and ensure timely filing.
- Perform GSTR-2B vs GSTR-3B reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting of GST.
- Manage tax exemptions for goods/services supplied within the SEZ and maintain proper documentation.
- Support the finance team with internal and external tax audits.
Handling SEZ-Specific Transactions:
- Prepare and submit periodic returns, such as Annual Performance Reports (APR), Monthly Performance Reports (MPR), and SEZ Export Returns Form (SERF).
- Ensure compliance with SOFTEX filing, DSPF, and import/export documentation.
- Record transactions for SEZ goods/services, including zero-rated export supplies, while maintaining accurate documentation.
Audit Support and Compliance:
- Assist in preparing accurate documentation for internal audits and SEZ compliance checks.
- Ensure adherence to SEZ laws, regulations, and export incentives.
- Support external audits and liaise with auditors to provide the necessary documentation during the audit process.
Reporting and Liaison:
- Submit financial reports to government authorities, ensuring adherence to all SEZ regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all SEZ-related accounting and taxation matters.
- Work closely with sales and procurement teams to ensure the correct application of GST and tax rules for SEZ operations.
