Marketing Director – Medscape Education (Global & US)

What we’re looking for
 
We’re looking for a Marketing Director to help shape and lead our next phase of growth across global (ex-US) and US markets. This is a greenfield opportunity: a chance to build a scalable, strategic marketing function for our B2B education business with a focus on innovation, leadership, and global collaboration.
You’ll be stepping into a high-impact role — one where you'll work alongside commercial, product, and senior leadership teams to establish our go-to-market strategy, define our brand positioning across key therapeutic areas, and create marketing that resonates with pharma clients worldwide.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Build and lead a growing team of marketers based in the US and UK, helping set the strategic direction and day-to-day execution.
  • Develop and own the global marketing plan for Medscape Education — both US and ex-US — ensuring we support sales goals and market needs across pharma, biotech, and healthcare.
  • Partner closely with commercial leads to align marketing efforts with client expectations, therapeutic trends, and new business opportunities.
  • Lead the development of messaging frameworks and content that clearly communicate Medscape’s value to external partners.
  • Help shape our presence at industry events, across channels, and within key strategic partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team processes, introduce new tools, and bring a fresh perspective to how we work and market.

What you’ll need to succeed:
  • Experience marketing to global pharmaceutical or medical education audiences. Understanding of medical affairs is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build or scale a marketing team or function — you’re comfortable starting from scratch or improving what’s already there.
  • Experience working closely with commercial teams to shape strategy and support revenue growth.
  • Strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage internal stakeholders and senior external clients.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and move from concept to execution quickly.
  • Strategic thinker with an eye for detail and a focus on outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Ideally 10+ years in B2B healthcare/pharma marketing roles, with at least a few years in a leadership capacity.
  • Track record of leading and mentoring teams, ideally across regions.
  • Experience managing budgets and marketing planning cycles.
  • Comfortable working in matrixed or cross-functional teams.
