YOUR CHALLENGE:
Take the responsibility to improve business level outcome by providing your data analytics results. Answer to individual requests and provide and evolve productized PowerBI dashboards and reports. Build and use domain expertise, work with Data Architecture und Data Engineering to get the right data quality provided for your visualization.
What you'll be doing
  • Data Extraction & Analysis:
    • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, anomalies and scenarios for future metrics and KPIs.
    • Apply statistical methods and models to analyze data and generate meaningful insights.
    • Design and write efficient SQL queries to extract relevant data from our data warehouse.
  • Data Modeling & Visualization:
    • Develop and maintain complex Power BI dashboards for data visualization together with product and internal customers, supported by Data Engineering, ensuring clear and effective reports and boards.
    • Clearly document data sources, transformations, and calculations for transparency and reproducibility.
    • Collaborate with Data Architects and Data Engineers to design and maintain a robust technical data model for efficient interfacing between Data Warehouse and PowerBI.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Work closely with various departments to understand their data needs on domain level and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.
    • Communicate complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences effectively.
    • Actively participate in data-related discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of data processes.
What you'll need to bring to the role
  • Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
    • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst, demonstrating strong analytical skills and product/project management competencies.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in data modeling techniques and best practices for data warehousing.
    • Proficiency in developing and maintaining interactive dashboards in Power BI (DAX, M language is a plus).
    • Good SQL skills with the ability to understand (write) complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Strong analytical mindset and applied critical thinking with the ability to draw insights from complex datasets.
    • Proficient in applying statistical methods for sound interpretation and results.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Communication & Teamwork:
    • Excellent communication skills in both German and English, written and verbal.
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
