THE ROLE
We’re looking for a dynamic Director of Strategic Accounts to drive sales of Medscape’s suite of products to senior brand managers and marketing teams in the pharmaceutical industry.
This is a consultative sales role, requiring a deep understanding of HCP engagement, digital advertising, and content marketing strategies in pharma.
The ideal candidate will have a hunter mindset—building new relationships, growing existing accounts, and becoming a trusted partner for our clients. Backed by industry-leading sales, marketing, and client support teams, you’ll help top pharma brands develop impactful digital strategies that resonate with healthcare professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, pitch, and secure new business with pharma brand managers, digital marketing teams, and agency partners.
- Manage and expand key accounts, ensuring long-term strategic partnerships.
- Sell a unique portfolio of digital engagement solutions, including branded content, targeted media campaigns, virtual events, and educational programs.
- Consult with clients to craft data-driven, compliant, and effective marketing strategies.
- Represent Medscape at industry conferences and client meetings across the UK, Europe, and the US.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of proven success in selling digital marketing solutions to pharma (experience with medical device or biotech also considered).
- Strong network of pharma brand managers, digital marketing teams, and tier-one agencies.
- Deep understanding of pharma marketing regulations, digital advertising, and HCP engagement strategies.
- Ability to build trusted, consultative relationships at senior levels.
- Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Passion for digital innovation and data-driven marketing.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented sales environment.
