About the Role:

 

A construction loan administrator is responsible for reviewing construction loan documents in accordance with credit policy requirements for risk management, with responsibility for protecting the Bank’s interest through proper documentation, ensuring all approved terms and conditions are properly implemented throughout the administration of the construction loan and the accompanying draws

 

  • Monitor and collect, as necessary, required due diligence items
  • Coordinate document and funding request and check for accuracy
  • Work in partnership with Relationship Managers (RMs) and credit analysts as primary liaison with customers, inspectors, and title company representatives as the loan closes and during all phases of construction until the loan matures or until payoff
  • Work in partnership to review and analyze land surveys, environmental assessments, project reviews, and building inspection reports to ensure that all construction draws are funded in accordance with the required guidelines
  • Maintain loan files and disbursement files with sufficient documentation for third-party review and prepare files for timely audits
  • Analyze proposed construction budgets to ensure all appropriate project-related costs and sources of funds are identified
  • Analyze and reconcile construction draw requests, including recommending approval of the funding draws and obtaining all required approvals
  • Prepare monthly construction draws
  • Work daily with loan customers via telephone, email, and in person
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:

 

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • 5 years of experience in commercial real estate, construction loan administration, or a related field, including project management/management experience.
  • 5 years of Title and escrow experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of title, escrow, survey, and loan documentation preparation
  • Advanced knowledge of all operational systems, procedures, construction guidelines, and/or services supported by the Bank’s Commercial Real Estate Services Department
  • Extensive working knowledge of construction industry and construction lending, including multi-phased construction and multiple collateral properties
  • Organizational and project management skills
  • Strong computer skills, including using Precision, AccuDraw (or similar construction draw monitoring software), PowerPoint, Excel, and creating links and fillable PDF documents
  • Strong technical expertise in construction draw administration functions
  • Extensive working knowledge of commercial real estate finance procedures, documentation, accounting, processes, procedures, and data systems
  • Well-developed customer relations skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and maintain a high level of organization
  • Deep knowledge of accounting principles and loan accounting systems

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $71,441.37 - $95,000, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
