Sr. Collections Specialist (NPA Collector)

The Position: We are looking for a Collections Agent to join our team of first-party collectors. This position is responsible for maintaining acceptable Effectiveness Collection Percentages on 90-120 Day delinquent accounts. Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers to resolve delinquent contracts. Utilize all internal and external resources available to establish contact, identify appropriate courses of resolution to protect the Company’s interest and to execute the resolution plan in a timely manner.
The essential responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:
- Communicates with Lessees that are 91-120 days past due (NPA additions), by telephone, mail and personal contact.
- Possesses and demonstrates strong telephone customer service skills.
- Responsible to meet and exceed goals (specifically NPA).
- Responsible for making resolution arrangements when accepting less than total due.
- Assists in negotiating and resolution of insurance issues on delinquent 91-120 day accounts.
- Ensures collection of late charges and miscellaneous fees as appropriate.
- Maintains complete and accurate collection notes on collection screens so that others will be able to understand conversations, promises and payment plans arranged with Lessees.
- Collects and resolves ending residuals prior to NPA.
- Prepares repossession authorization packets as needed.
- Meets individual call volume as assigned by management and calls are made in a professional manner.
- Performs extensions, rewrites, purchase agreements and forbearance agreements as needed within their authority level or with approval of management.
- Maintains current knowledge and adherence of UDAAP and FDCPA tenets.
- Notifies Supervisor or Manager of any significant situations that may cause harm or loss to the company
- Provides highest level of Customer Service to all lessees, vendors, brokers and staff.
- Maintains confidentiality of all company information.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 year Collection experience
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Must present oneself in a professional manner
- Exceptional customer service and support to our customers, partners and all levels of staff
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong data entry skills

Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary and comprehensive benefits. The annualized range for this role is $42,000.00 - $48,200.00. The pay rate for the successful applicant depends on a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and education. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
