About the Role:
The Client Engagement Manager initiates and leads to completion complex, long-term critical programs for bank division(s) and/or business line(s) in support of enterprise strategy. Responsible for delivery of program components within scope and budget. Ensures results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.
- Defines program scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Fully oversees lifecycles of large, complex, on-going programs, including ideation, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
- Develops and contributes to a detailed plan to monitor and track program progress. Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation.
- Implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Measures program performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and reports progress to stakeholders. Provides training to others regarding features and benefits of the program(s).
- Resolves problems, completes audits, identifies trends, determines system improvements, and implements change to deliver results on-time and within scope and budget.
- Monitors and meets financial objectives by supporting or overseeing budget preparation, adhering to cost constraints, and adjusting expenditures, as needed.
- Coordinates internal resources and negotiates agreements with third parties/vendors.
- Manages relationships with clients and all stakeholders across departments and functions, possibly including executive leadership.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.
- Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations that apply to your position.
- Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
- Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
- Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:
- Bachelor's Degree in management, business, or related field. Required.
- 4-7 years of program/project management experience in relevant program area, preferably in a banking or financial services firm. Required
- Superior relationship management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Superior knowledge of products and services in program area.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven delivery of solutions to complex organizational challenges.
- Proven experience creating and overseeing programs from ideation to continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules.
- Proficiency with personal computer and related software packages such as Word and Excel.
Travel: Occasional
Workstyle: Fully onsite.
Our Benefits:
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $86,000.00- $140,000.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
