About the Role:

Role is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the bank's 3rd party CFI partnerships and program management efforts.  Effectively partnering with production leadership and executives to align sales strategies for assigned products and partnerships to achieve the bank’s overall goals. Lead team to be the key connection point with assigned 3rd party partners to effectively achieve mutual goals, eliminate barriers to success, and address escalated challenges. Partners with Product Managers to Ensures that the group of products is marketable, competitive, compliant, and profitable. 

 

  • Responsible for leadership, and oversight of program managers and support, ensures that individual products are integrated into an effective group of products.  Develops strategies and marketing goals for the product group.
  • Participates in pricing, advertising, and other marketing decisions.  Monitors profitability, market penetration, and the achievement of other product goals.
  • Implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. Measures program performance using appropriate tools and techniques, and reports progress to stakeholders. Provides training to others regarding features and benefits of the program(s).
  • Oversees the coordination of operations, production, and other staff support personnel to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of services for the group of products.
  • Keeps informed of current developments regarding the assigned product group.
  • Designs and optimizes products to meet the needs of clients and prospective clients.  Monitors efficiency of existing products and implements changes as necessary.
  • Coordinates internal resources and participates in negotiations and agreements with third parties/vendors
  • Oversees and manages product performance analysis, competitive intelligence gathering, and profiling of competitor peers and products.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent. Preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree. Required 
  • More than 10 years of relevant product management experience. Required
  • 4-7 years of supervision and leadership experience in Product or related field. Required
  • Experience developing, modifying, and executing company policies that affect immediate operation(s) and company-wide effect.
  • Ability to regularly interact with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions and/or customers.
  • Requires the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance of, others in sensitive situations.
  • Excellent leadership, relationship management and business development abilities, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of success in directly developing new clients and business, including prospecting, sourcing and networking.
  • Ability to strategically identifies, hires, motivate and retains top talent.
  • Expert knowledge of products management and services that result in successfully capitalizing on all opportunities to cross sell the bank’s products.
  • Experience managing and developing others and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Excellent planning, budgeting and organization skills with the ability to change course (adaptable) at a moment’s notice.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel, and other business machines.
  • Requires a master’s degree or equivalent, and proven track record in product management
  • Ability to train and present to small and large audiences including Senior and Executive management or has the interest in learning to train and present.
  • Certification in Pragmatic Product Delivery Model

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $112,000.00 - $160,000.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
