About the Role:

This position is responsible for various servicing and support functions related to loans assigned to Special Assets. Primary responsibilities include loan accounting, reporting, reconciliation, payment processing, and account maintenance in accordance with Bank loan policy and procedures while providing exemplary customer service and support to all loan officers. 

 

  • Reconcile customer accounts and understand customer histories to evaluate payment and/or services issues. 
  • Perform administrative and office support activities, such as pulling daily and monthly reports for the department, and electronic filing of loan approvals
  • Gathers data and prepares regular or periodic reports pertaining to department functions and distributes to internal partners.
  • Ensure operation practices follow standard operating procedures, Bank policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Process loan charge off and recovery transactions and update lending platform with coding related to charge off.
  • Perform daily/monthly reconciliation of charge off and recoveries.
  • Receive and distribute bankruptcy notices on loans assigned to Special Assets. Update lending core as applicable per type of notice received.
  • Manages projects, analysis, and other responsibilities as directed.
  • Nonperforming loan general ledger expense tracking and reconciliation.
  • Review Credit Memos for authorized approval authority, distribute and code loan as appropriate.
  • Prepare monthly general ledger and DDA certifications.
  • Complete a wide variety of requests received within a shared Outlook account.
  • Book OREO (Other Real Estate Owned) accounts, post write downs, gain/loss on sale transactions.  Maintain, balance, and distribute the OREO reconciliation report.
  • Maintain dashboard reporting of loans assigned to Special Assets for distribution to Special Assets leadership.
  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine and moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives little instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:

 

  • HS Diploma or GED. Required
  • 2-4 years Back office accounting and/or banking experience. Preferred
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to review data and prepare reports.  Recognize problems and determine best approach and/or recommendations.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Strong reading, writing and math skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret loan documents.
  • Proficient keyboard skills.
  • Requires the ability to analyzes problems, determine best approach, compile, and analyze data, prepare reports/recommendations as well as reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, knowledge of department procedures, practices, and policies.
  • Ability to use office software (i.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, spreadsheets, etc.) and equipment. Completion of high school, vocational training, or equivalent

The pay range for this role is $18.00- $27.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
