Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO)


SRC, Inc. is currently seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) for our Charlottesville, VA office. The FSO/CSSO will oversee all aspects of the Company's security program and maintain compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM) and Intelligence Community Directives.
  
What You’ll Do 
 
In this role, you will perform the following functions:
  • Perform all FSO, CSSO, and CPSO functions for a small regional office
  • Maintain and conduct security briefings, refreshers, debriefings to personnel, and recurring security education and training materials/events
  • Working knowledge of NISS, DISS, NBIS/e-APP, and Scattered Castles
  • Perform initial access eligibility determinations and create PARs and SCI nominations.
  • Maintain personnel security records for Collateral, SAP, and SCI related programs to include the use of SIMS, DISS, and other databases.
  • Maintain classified material accountability records to include inventory lists, receipt and transmittal records and final disposition documentation.
  • Coordinating and conducting periodic self-inspections and customer-driven inspections/assessments related to the activity, information, system, and conditions of the overall security program, to include the Insider Threat program
  • Maintain FCL documentation and submission in accordance with DCSA requirements
  • Maintain Continuous Vetting enrollment
  • Assists in preparing and maintaining the departmental policies, procedures, and manuals
  • Process and track incoming and outgoing visit requests, and foreign travel requests for both DoD and IC
  • Maintain facility access control, personnel badging, and alarm systems
  • Maintain the program’s IDS/access control system to include access rosters.
  • Investigate incidents and security violations, conduct administrative inquiries (AI), and submit reports as required
  • Manage safeguarding requirements for secure work areas
  • Establish and maintain Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Emergency Action Plans (EAP) in conjunction with corporate standards
  • Supporting ISSM efforts to implement the system’s security program and policies for assigned areas of responsibility. FSO will be fully integrated into every aspect of the RMF process
  • Ensure all classified materials are marked and controlled in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Provide security escorting for uncleared personnel as required
  • Create and maintain Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC) and Construction Security Plans (CSP) for new and existing classified work areas, including maintaining necessary waiver/approval records
  • Prepare requests for Co-Use/Joint-Use Agreements and any required Waiver documentation
  • Provide support to Contracts, Proposal Teams, and Human Resources
  • Other duties as assigned
 
What You’ll Bring 
  
  • Bachelor's degree and 6+ or more years of Industrial Security experience
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is required 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to interact with senior customers and staff
  • Ability to complete task and goals with little or no supervision
 
Ways to Stand Out – Preferred Requirements 
  
  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Industrial Security experience
  • Experience with SCI requirements a plus
  • Experience with Special Access Programs a plus
  • ISP Certification a plus
  • Working knowledge of SIMS software
