SMT Production Technician (2nd Shift)


SRCTec, LLC is looking for a 2nd Shift (3:30 PM – 12 AM) SMT Technician to execute SMT PCA builds and perform repairs at our location in North Syracuse, NY. Positions assigned to 2nd shift are paid a shift differential of 10%. Activities would include facilitating the SMT process: Solder Screening, Pick and Place execution, Hand Soldering, AOI, repair, etc.
 
What You’ll Do
  • Follow established procedures and processes to accomplish daily manufacturing operations
  • Troubleshoot setup issues and output faults flagged by inspection
  • Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have ability to multi-task and change job tasks on short notice
  • Perform tasks of moderate scope; may lead specific tasks within the scope of a larger project
  • Write up detailed data summary for discrepancy documentation to show results of the processes during the repair/troubleshooting process
  • Will have to manually setup up equipment to meet production requirements
  • Work as a key contributing member of the manufacturing production team
  • May be working with part of a team or be independently
What You’ll Bring
  • Education: High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree
  • Experience: At least three years of experience in SMT Manufacturing
  • Disclaimer: Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Ways to Stand Out – Preferred Requirements
  • IPC and J-STD Soldering and/or Wire Harness Certs/Experience
  • Experience in the Defense Industry

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $28 to $33/hour. The hourly rate will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
