Anthony Wayne Animal Hospital, located in Maumee, offers high-quality medical treatment for dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Our doctors and medical team are always engaging in continuing education to provide pets with the most current treatment available. 
Our Ideal Candidate:

Our team is focused on providing a welcoming and educational environment for clients and pets, this experience starts when the client walks through our door and speaks with our Client Service Representatives. This part-time position would require evenings and weekend availability.  
Job Duties:     
  • Providing quality, professional service to all clients whether in person, over the phone, or through email. Readily acknowledges and engages clients and actively listens to their concerns. Serves as liaison between client and DVM
  • Promptly answering phone calls or replying to email messages and efficiently directing questions to the appropriate individuals. Demonstrates ability to triage situations and advise a client when an appointment is recommended. Makes reminder calls as necessary
  • Accurately scheduling appointments
  • Using computer information system to accurately process client payments,and maintain current client/patient records. Ensures appropriate forms are completed for appointments, surgeries, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task in high stress situations
  • Providing informative and knowledgeable information to clients regarding our products and services
  • Providing clients with estimates for various procedures and/or surgeries over the phone
  • Accurately processing payments and balancing receipts
  • Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness of client areas
  • Performs other related tasks as required
  • Punctuality is a must
  • Team player

Job Requirements:     

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Veterinary hospital experience is preferred, however not required  
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, squatting, reach, standing, and walking throughout the day
  • Proficient with MS Office software; familiarity with veterinary practice management software preferred
  • Ability to multi-task while managing high call volumes
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Process end of day cash calculation
  • Comfortable around all companion animals
