About the Team

The Systems Engineering team at Nutanix is a dynamic and ambitious group based in Paris, Île-de-France, France. The team is focused on driving efficiency and aligning closely with customer needs and market trends, reflecting Nutanix's commitment to innovation and excellence. With a strong culture centered around collaboration, mentorship, and professional development, the team seeks to empower its members to become trusted advisors, fostering an environment of transformation and consultative selling.

You will report to the Regional SE Director for France & North West Africa, who values mentorship and collaboration, ensuring that team members have the resources to perform effectively and grow professionally. The work setup for this role is hybrid, requiring the new hire to be based in the Paris area for necessary face-to-face meetings, with expectations of attending the office several days per week for team collaboration and client engagements.

This role involves a travel requirement of up to 50%, predominantly local travel around Paris. This includes participation in on-site meetings with customers and attendance at corporate events, ensuring that you remain engaged with both the team and external stakeholders.

Your Role

  • Lead and mentor a team of senior systems engineers to enhance performance and resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement strategies for transitioning the team to address broader customer business challenges.
  • Facilitate continuous skill development and professional growth within the team.
  • Engage with C-level stakeholders in customer meetings to build trusted relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for team improvement and implement strategies for addressing them.
  • Coordinate hybrid work schedules to ensure effective collaboration and on-site presence when needed.
  • Support large, complex engagements by providing high-level technical expertise and guidance.
  • Drive team alignment with market trends and customer future needs 

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience, preferably in a presales position.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years in a management position with experience leading senior engineering teams.
  • Strong technical knowledge in cloud-native technologies and familiarity with Kubernetes platforms vendors 
  • Proven experience in C-level interactions and public speaking.
  • Ability to mentor, support, and develop team members’ skills effectively.
  • Strategic vision for team growth with experience in consultative selling approaches.
  • Broad IT industry knowledge and ability to maintain high quality in customer interactions.
  • Transformational leadership skills to drive solution-oriented engagements and continuous improvement.
