This position is not remote, it will be onsite at our home office location in Franktown, CO (located between Parker and Castle Rock).

  • Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee’s federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments
  • Balances payroll accounts by identifying and resolving payroll discrepancies
  • Uploads direct deposit files or prints payroll checks for mailing
  • Communicates directly with the Human Resource to ensure data integrity including new hires, terminations, transfers, and rate changes
  • Processes off-cycle payroll checks as required to comply with state wage laws, annual bonuses, and year-end payroll adjustment
  • Processes, researches, and resolves payroll questions from employees related to timekeeping and PTO leave
  • Verifying and reconciling quarterly and annual payroll tax reports, including any required census reporting, calculating manual checks, preparing quarterly workers compensation reports, bonus payment coordination and managing unemployment compensation and rates
  • Coordinating and managing any year-end reporting requirements
  • Completing and processing verifications of employment and wage requests
  •  Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
  • Manage payroll issues related to banking, garnishments, employment verifications, workers compensation payments, retroactive pay calculations, tax questions, and other request that affect payroll operations
  • Verifies & reconciles all Federal and State tax payments
  • Process all quarterly tax reporting including, but not limited to, 941, SUTA.
  • Collaborates for all year-end tax reporting including W2, W3 preparation and distribution
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • 4+ years’ experience in accounting, multi-state payroll processing, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically excel skills such as VLOOKUP, formulas, tables, and ranges
  • FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) would be a plus
  • Solid working knowledge of multi-state and local tax codes 
  • High numeric aptitude to perform complex calculations
