The Design Lead plays a key role in shaping the architectural, interior, and technical direction of Stelumar Communities. This role leads design development from master planning through to detailed building and suite design, with a strong focus on modularity and prefabrication. Working closely with cross‑functional teams across engineering, design, marketing, and delivery, the Design Lead translates concepts into build‑ready solutions that balance quality, aesthetics, schedule, and cost. The ideal candidate is collaborative, thoughtful, and execution‑focused—bringing clarity, creativity, and discipline to deliver well‑designed communities that enhance both the customer experience and project outcomes.
What you’ll do
- Lead and support design development across multiple scales, from high‑level master planning through to detailed unit and suite design, including architecture and interiors.
- Develop conceptual, schematic, and detailed architectural designs that balance design intent, constructability, modularity, and prefabrication principles.
- Produce presentation‑ready materials for internal and external stakeholders, including client and leadership presentations, using tools such as Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
- Create and maintain BIM‑based design documentation, with a strong preference for Revit, and support CAD deliverables as required using AutoCAD.
- Translate design concepts into clear, coordinated, and build‑ready drawings in collaboration with engineering, architecture, marketing, and delivery teams.
- Contribute to the development of design standards, templates, and repeatable solutions that support scalability across communities and product types.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or other related field.
- 4+ years of experience in residential design work, with demonstrated progression from basic design/project coordination into project management.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to master planned communities, with the ability to work fluidly between big‑picture planning and detailed unit/suite design.
- Strong technical capability in BIM and CAD workflows, with Revit expertise strongly preferred; working knowledge of AutoCAD required.
- Proven ability to create polished, presentation‑quality design materials using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
- A collaborative, positive, and enthusiastic working style, with the flexibility to adapt in a fast‑evolving environment.
- Open to learning, growth, and feedback, with a genuine interest in developing new skills, tools, and ways of working.
- Clear communicator who brings curiosity, energy, and a solutions‑oriented mindset to cross‑functional teams.
Bonus points
