What we offer

The People & Culture Coordinator plays a key role in delivering exceptional employee experience and operational excellence across the employee lifecycle. This position provides broad exposure to all areas of Human Resources, including employee administration, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, leave management, HRIS, reporting, and employee communications. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional looking to build a well-rounded HR career in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate all employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, offboarding, employment agreements, promotion and termination letters, salary adjustments, and employee transfers.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accurate and timely updates within our HRIS, including organizational charts and employee data changes.
  • Manage the HR inbox, responding to employee inquiries and escalating issues as required.
  • Administer employee leaves of absence, including parental, disability, unpaid, and union leaves, while supporting employees and managers through the process.
  • Coordinate benefits administration activities, including enrollments, dependent updates, pension and RRSP program administration, wellness initiatives, and employee communications.
  • Support HR reporting and data requests through People Insights, Business Intelligence, and other reporting tools.
  • Assist with talent acquisition activities as required, including reference checks and recruitment coordination and invoicing.
  • Support employee engagement and recognition programs, including service awards, Guusto administration, compliance training, and wellness and benefits-related communications.

What you bring

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of progressive Human Resources or People & Culture experience.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience administering employee benefits and leaves of absence.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms and maintaining employee records.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Bonus points

  • Experience with UKG/UltiPro or other enterprise HRIS platforms.
  • Experience supporting wellness, recognition, or employee engagement programs.
  • Strong reporting and HR analytics capabilities.
