Finance Analyst, UK&I

Role Purpose.

This is a central position in the UK&I finance team. Assisting the Head of FP&A and FD with the reconciling and reporting of financial information up to statutory reporting level and provision of commercial insights for LHH UK and Irish entities. Responsible for Internal reporting to group GM, MFRP, GRP. Business Partner with Sales & Operations providing reliable data, analysis, and insight to support continual improvement of internal business functions

  • Compliance with Adecco Group Policies
  • Challenging and influencing business decisions and strategy to identify and manage benefits and risks
  • Manage, analyze, and review the Balance Sheet, ensuring accurate reporting, management, and recognition of provisions monthly
  • Liaising with internal & external Auditors, understanding, and explaining P&L and Balance Sheet impacts and providing accurate reporting to support their queries

Responsibilities will vary depending on the workloads and needs of the teams. The assignment of such responsibilities will be determined by the Line Manager and can be subject to change.


Internal Reporting Responsibility:

       Business Partner with Management teams to ensure accurate reporting of performance through the GM & MFRP reports

       Ensuring accurate forecasting of P&L monthly as well as variance analysis on any current and prior period variances

       Review, track, and report on both Revenue performance to ensure initial forecast are on track as well as understanding and reporting on any variances

       Business Partner to department heads to optimize Operational and Sales function performance including in depth understanding and analysis of key busines KPI’s

       Sales commission analysis, prepare calculations, business partnering with the Sales Director to produce timely reporting to the Governance process, alongside Group colleagues.

       Take ownership of regular financial tasks, creating & improving processes and driving efficiencies

       Consolidate the financial performance, forecasts, and performance issues into concise, engaging analysis to allow well-informed and timely decisions to be made. 

       Prepare Monthly Financial packs for the executive teams within the specified deadlines

       Support the budgeting and planning processes



General Ledger Responsibility:

       Ensure monthly P&L reporting is in line with forecast investigating, identifying, and explaining and variances

       Contribute to the management of the balance sheet, ensuring effective management of provisions with accurate and concise schedules, identifying, understanding, and reporting any risks or opportunities to key stakeholders

       Support Head of Accounting and Tax to review the balance sheet and support the submission of clear and accurate schedules to group accounting

       Partner with Internal & External Auditors, being fully responsible for responding to queries regarding your owned areas within the finance function, using P&L and Balance Sheet analysis to demonstrate internal controls and processes as well providing narration to overall business performance


Finance System Administrator

       Support the continual investment and development of finance systems and the interface between companywide business operating systems to ensure efficiencies are identified and manual processes/interruptions are reduced to achieve “real time” information production

       Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of all financial information in accordance with the Data Protection Act / GDPR and other relevant legislation and codes of practice.


Commercial reporting and development

       Continue to develop useful, value adding insights to the sales and operations teams

       Develop reporting suite to analyze KPIs with the CEO

       Ad hoc analysis when required on specific projects

       Control and update the Pricing tool and advise on margin targets


Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

Required Qualification

       Fully qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA member

Preferred skills

       Technical, relevant, and up to date accounting knowledge

       Excellent Excel skills and a very high level of IT literacy

       Able to direct, coach, motivate and inspire others

What We Offer

       Contract Type: Full-Time

       Hours: 37.5

       Schedule: 9am-5:30pm, Monday - Friday

       Salary: Depending on Experience
