ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Sportsbook Control and Regulatory Manager, you will be the independent expert and primary point of contact for all regulatory and betting control matters within our bookmaking operations. You will proactively ensure strict compliance with global gaming regulations and internal policies, driving operational excellence. This role is crucial for managing key procedures and contributing directly to our strategic growth. You will uphold the highest integrity standards across all activities.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Ensure strict compliance with gaming regulations, licensing conditions and internal policies across all jurisdictions, proactively assessing and controlling the entire Sportsbook bet offering.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all betting control and regulatory advice, handling compliance queries for new markets, including certification, documentation and procedures.
- Implement new and manage existing regulatory, risk and integrity procedures.
- Ownership and maintenance of Sportsbook Terms & Conditions and customer internal policies.
- Independently handle and resolve customer compliance, legal complaints and betting experience queries, while continuously monitoring and improving customer service responses in these areas.
- Assist in audits and license applications, and conduct internal audits of tool access within the bookmaking department to support compliance and risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal Compliance, Legal, Data Privacy, Risk Compliance, and Country Teams to ensure the Sportsbook is aligned with regulatory decisions and new updates impacting operations.
- Create, maintain and own comprehensive documentation for control and regulatory procedures, providing expert guidance and delivering training on these guidelines.
- Drive process improvement by working with automation teams to identify and implement automated solutions for regulatory and control processes, and coordinate quality control reviews of operator support systems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational strategies, prepare monthly reports on regulatory/control updates, and represent the company at industry events, fostering key external relationships.
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- 3+ years in Sportsbook operations with proven regulatory/compliance experience.
- Strong understanding of Sportsbook systems, trading operations, and regulatory frameworks.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills.
- Highly organized, proactive and capable of effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with leading teams and operational procedures.
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with multiple international regulatory jurisdictions.
- Proven project management experience.
- Familiarity with process automation tools or methodologies.
