Description

• Lead, mentor, and evolve a distributed team of 35 IT professionals across eight countries and multiple time zones.
• Manage six direct reports, fostering a culture of autonomy, customer service, and technical curiosity.
• Travel occasionally to our key hubs to build relationships and align operations.

• Partner with Engineering VPs and Leads to understand their pain points.
• Tilt the IT roadmap to prioritise developer efficiency—whether that means high-performance compute hardware, optimised network low-latency routes for testing, or efficient VPN solutions to make it easy to test our applications.

• Oversee the lifecycle management of hardware, software, and mobile devices for the entire 2,000-person workforce.
• Manage corporate networks and security protocols, balancing security requirements with the flexibility engineers need to work effectively.
• Ensure our Global Service Desk provides "white glove" support to everyone from the C-suite to the Junior Dev.
• Level up the IT supplier landscape, leveraging on opportunities to consolidate and evolving IT supplier management. 

• You have previous success in a comparable Enterprise IT management position within a modern tech environment.
• You have experience managing managers. You know how to run a 30+ person organisation across multiple countries and time zones (EU/UK/US), focusing on strategy and unblocking your team. You know how to build culture remotely.
• You communicate proactively and strategically with Engineering VPs and business leaders to ensure IT is recognised as a strategic enabler. You focus on transparency and clarity to build trust and alignment across the wider organisation.
• You have a strong background working within or alongside software development organisations. You understand the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and how IT decisions impact compile times, build speeds, and developer happiness. You understand what a compile time is and why local admin rights matter.
• You possess an excellent ability to communicate with both technical Engineering VPs and non-technical business leaders (Finance/HR).
• You have experience negotiating contracts with global hardware/software vendors and managing the logistics of hardware distribution to challenging locations.
• You have knowledge of enterprise networking, specifically tuned for a distributed workforce.
• You are versatile - you can present a budget to the CFO in the morning and dive into a complex distribution logic problem with your team in the afternoon.

• Engineering background: as a SysAdmin, a DevOps engineer, or a Developer.
• A strong preference for automating onboarding, offboarding, and provisioning processes. You prefer code/scripts over manual tickets.
