ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior HR Project Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering small to medium-scale projects within HR itself or a wider organisation projects. This role works closely with HR stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organisational and people strategy objectives. The role will report to the Senior HR project manager.

We are looking for a hands-on person with previous project and HR experience.  

 

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

 

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of small to medium HR projects (e.g. policy implementation, process improvements, change initiatives) but support larger transformation initiatives as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact representing HR for assigned organisation projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Define project plans, objectives, timelines, milestones, and deliverables together with other HR stakeholders/Project Managers.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Provide regular project updates to senior stakeholders and HR members. Identify risks and escalate as needed.
  • Support the development of project documentation and reports while aligning with internal processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve delivery effectiveness.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and project meetings.

 

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

 

  • Proven a minimum of 5 years experience leading small to medium projects, preferably within HR or a people-related function.
  • Strong organisational and execution capabilities.
  • Experience in HR process improvement and change management.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple project plans and documentation simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail across all phases of delivery
  • Confident in constructively challenging stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment, mitigate risk, and drive optimal project outcomes.
  • Strongly data-driven, leveraging metrics, insights, and evidence-based analysis to inform decision-making and continuously enhance project delivery.
