Position at Mopac

We currently have an immediate opening for a Driver Trainer in our Souderton, PA Rendering facility. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Transportation team in regards to all aspects of our driver training and mentoring programs.

• The applicant must possess strong management capabilities that enable managing multiple areas, listed below, and coordinating training efforts to encourage consistency, accuracy, and safety.
• Strong people skills enabling communication with both management, drivers, and driver mentors.
• Commercial license – A, and meet all current driver qualifications

1. Applicants
a. Road Test
b. Initial applicant screening
c. Participate in driver recruitment
2. New Hire
a. Coordinate, participate, and schedule orientation
b. Perform route training
c. Develop and implement evaluation process to measure driver progress as well as to identify and provide feedback for areas of improvement
d. Evaluate and document recommendation for driver’s release to intermediate and qualified status.
3. Existing Driver
a. Develop and implement training methodology and procedures following DOT and Mopac Driver Manual policy
b. Perform periodic performance audits to ensure adherence to safe and application procedures; provide feedback, recommendations, and ideas for improvement as applicable for the driver as well as customer site/location opportunities
c. Participate in the development and implementation of remedial training; routine, post-accident/incident
d. Provide cross training when applicable
e. Provide and coordinate new equipment training
i. Maintain current and accurate training material on all trucks and trailers
ii. Coordinate additional training tractor/trailer – automatic to manual shifting
4. General
a. Participate in post-accident, injury, and spill investigations as directed by safety manager
b. Participate in Accident Review Committee
c. Coordinate and participate in safety training as directed by safety manager
d. Evaluate customer location and container areas of concern and make recommendations for service

Bi-lingual a plus, but not required.
