JBS is seeking a Sustainability Manager to lead key aspects of the company's sustainability reporting and disclosure program. This role will play a central part in helping the company meet emerging reporting requirements and communicate sustainability performance to investors, customers, lenders, and other stakeholders.
The Sustainability Manager will lead major components of the annual reporting cycle, coordinate reporting activities across global business functions, and partner with the sustainability data analysis team to improve the quality, consistency, and reliability of sustainability data. The role works closely with Sustainability, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Communications, IT, operating businesses, and external assurance providers to support reporting, strengthen internal processes, and address data and control gaps.
This position requires someone who can move comfortably between technical reporting topics and practical project management. The successful candidate will be able to organize complex workstreams, build strong working relationships across functions, identify issues early, and drive solutions to produce high-quality products that meet deadlines and market requirements.
This position is based in Greeley, Colorado, and operates in a full-time office environment.
Sustainability Reporting & Disclosure Management
- Lead the planning, development, review, and publication of annual sustainability, ESG, and non-financial reports, with accountability for defined workstreams and deliverables.
- Develop and manage integrated reporting calendars, workplans, dependencies, review cycles, and escalation protocols across reporting channels.
- Coordinate disclosure content, data collection, technical review, approvals, and supporting evidence across business units and corporate functions.
- Maintain alignment across reports, regulatory filings, stakeholder questionnaires, ratings submissions, and other public disclosures.
Regulatory Compliance, Governance & Controls
- Monitor emerging sustainability reporting regulations, standards, and market expectations, and translate requirements into practical business actions.
- Support implementation and compliance readiness for applicable requirements, such as IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) / European Sustainability Reporting Standard (ESRS), Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), California climate disclosure requirements, and other jurisdiction-specific obligations.
- Develop and maintain reporting processes, methodologies, governance documentation, and disclosure controls, including clear ownership, review, approval, and evidence-retention requirements.
- Coordinate gap assessments, implementation roadmaps, and readiness activities; identify control or process deficiencies and track remediation actions through closure.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and external advisors to integrate sustainability reporting with enterprise governance, risk, control, and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare concise updates, decision materials, and escalations for executive leadership and governance committees.
Customer & Stakeholder Disclosures
- Ensure timely and quality responses to JBS USA customer requests, including questionnaires, surveys, and audits.
- Support sustainability engagements in collaboration with Investor Relations.
- Manage sustainability-related customer questionnaires, requests for information, due diligence inquiries, and selected ratings or benchmarking submissions.
- Coordinate responses to investor, lender, ratings agency, and other external stakeholder requests in partnership with relevant subject matter experts.
- Develop and maintain approved response libraries, data packs, evidence files, and standard materials to improve consistency, efficiency, and control.
- Apply appropriate review, approval, confidentiality, and records-management practices to external responses.
Cross-Functional Program Leadership & Improvement
- Lead cross-functional working sessions, clarify accountabilities, monitor progress, and drive completion of commitments against defined timelines.
- Anticipate delivery risks, resolve issues where possible, and escalate material challenges, decisions, and resource constraints in a timely manner.
- Influence internal stakeholders and build awareness of reporting responsibilities across a global, decentralized organization.
- Develop policies, procedures, guidance, training, and change-management materials that support consistent execution.
- Identify and implement improvements that strengthen efficiency, accuracy, auditability, transparency, and scalability.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability, corporate responsibility, investor relations, finance, accounting, regulatory compliance, consulting, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- Proven work experience in a related field, such as producing corporate disclosures and information products.
- Highly capable project manager with excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical issue-resolution, and written communication capabilities.
- Internal JBS and Pilgrims knowledge strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with sustainability disclosure regulations and assurance processes is preferred.
- Experience responding to customer, investor, or regulatory information requests is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience with reporting, workflow, data-management, or ESG platforms; experience identifying automation and standardization opportunities preferred.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $100,000-$130,000;
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and

The posted salary range represents the Company’s good faith estimate of the compensation that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, qualifications, tenure, internal equity, market data, and may vary accordingly.
