Nature of Position:
The Part-Time Seasonal Lawn Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of company-owned grounds. This role focuses primarily on mowing, trimming, edging, and general outdoor upkeep to ensure the property is well-maintained and presentable throughout the growing season.
Flexible, weather-dependent hours (typically daytime weekdays; occasional weekends as needed)
Typically spring through fall; exact dates depend on weather and business needs.
Essential Functions:

- Operate lawn maintenance equipment including riding and push mowers, weed trimmers, and blowers
- Mow, edge, and trim grass around buildings, walkways, fences, and landscaped areas
- Perform basic grounds upkeep such as leaf removal, debris pickup, and light landscaping tasks
- Inspect equipment prior to use and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Follow company safety procedures and equipment operation guidelines at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work independently or with minimal supervision once trained
- Perform other outdoor and facility-related duties as assigned
Success Factors:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40–50 pounds
- Ability to operate vibrating machinery and hand tools for extended periods
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) as provided
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents promptly
Job Qualifications:
- Previous lawn care or grounds maintenance experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to safely operate lawn care equipment or willingness to be trained
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Basic understanding of safety practices related to outdoor equipment
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season.
- High noise levels during certain tasks (hearing protection provided).
- Potential exposure to odors, dust, gases, and hazardous materials (PPE provided).
- Muddy and difficult terrain during and after inclement weather.
