Senior Operations Business Analyst

 

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Senio Operations Business Analyst for Pilgrim’s Prepared Foods that reports onsite to the corporate office in Greeley, Colorado.

 

This role provides operational and financial support to P&L owners to help drive profitable growth. It works closely with Operations, Finance, R&D, and Category teams to identify improvement opportunities, provide clear insights, and support efficient use of resources. The position helps develop tools and metrics, analyzes results and variances, and supports transparency through close collaboration with business operations and FP&A.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Strong collaboration in partnership with P&L owners by actively participating in the development and implementation of business solutions with focus on operational performance of our plant and products.
  • Provide comprehensive support, offering guidance, assisting the stakeholders in understanding, and managing variances.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with all departments to identify and leverage opportunities and gap reduction.
  • Provide operational insights developing comprehensive analyses for line efficiency, production capacities and labor.
  • Provide operational insights developing comprehensive analyses for raw material, product yields, packaging and ingredients usages.
  • Provide operational insights developing comprehensive analyses for fixed and variable expenses.
  • Provide insights and analysis on products, production lines, customers, categories, channels, and brands to maximize margins and drive revenue growth.
  • Prepare executive materials, with deep analysis of root cause and main drivers that are impacting the results.
  • Identify business opportunities monitoring performance patterns in comparison to historical norms, forecasted plans, and the competitive landscape. Identify and recommend business opportunities based on these insights, enabling proactive decision-making.
  • Act as a people leader, even though you have no direct reports, strive to be a leader by setting an example, fostering collaboration, and supporting the development of others. Share your knowledge and expertise to contribute to the overall success of the team.

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry or equivalent professional experience
  • Prior CPG experience within food manufacturing companies
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong business acumen in CPG, preferably with a focus on food manufacturing
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with both internal teams and external partners
  • Effective and influential team player, contributing to group success
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback professionally
  • Exceptional writing skills: logical, concise, and grammatically accurate
  • Strong financial analysis abilities
  • Solid operational analytical skills

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $95,000-$110,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
