Protein Conversion Production Leadperson

Join our Protein Conversion team and play a critical role in ensuring smooth daily operations by supervising employees, resolving issues, and monitoring production efficiency. You will oversee workflows, troubleshoot equipment issues, and train staff to maintain compliance with quality and safety standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

 

  • Promote safety throughout the plant and department.
  • Promote department and company goodwill through proactive employee communication and employee involvement.
  • Must work well with others.
  • Must be able to follow specific instructions.
  • Will recommend hiring, promotion, and corrective actions of employees.
  • Will train and assist in supervision of employees.
  • Will assist in completion of required documents and checks.
  • Process product according to operating procedures and quality/quantity expectations.
  • Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
  • Clean and organized work area.
  • Assist others with the skills and knowledge gained from the position.
  • Observes all company personnel, quality, safety and food safety policies. Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, co-workers, and leadership teams.
  • Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks. Consistently practices and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
  • Participates in process improvement and problem solving utilizing continuous improvement and rational thinking methodologies.
  • Follow all company animal welfare guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

What You’ll Need: 

  •        Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Technical school degree or certificate preferred. 
  •        Experience: Poultry or food manufacturing experience is a plus. 
  •        Skills: Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment, have good communication skills, ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense, have strong attention to detail, and must be a team player. 
  •        Physical requirements: Ability to work in warm temperatures and lift 50 bs or more.
