Position Title: Senior UXO Supervisor (SUXOS)

JOB SUMMARY 
Supervise site daily operations MEC activities. Plan, conduct and supervise all explosive operations. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify areas that might cause a slowdown in production
  • Ensure proper personnel and equipment are available to perform field operations. 
  • Supervise Team Leaders and UXO Tech IIIs in the performance of their duties. 
  • Ensure that field operations are conducted in a safe and expeditious manner. 
  • Manage daily operations of sub-contractors and coordinate logistic requirements. 
  • Supervise labor, maintenance, and other non-UXO site personnel. 
  • Coordinate daily with the USACE OESS concerning project operations. 
  • Responsible for implementing and enforcing all requirements of the Project Work Plan. 
  • Develop and review standard operating procedures and work practices to ensure proper UXO operations are conducted.
  • Responsible for site security and control to ensure public safety.  
  • Conduct daily operations briefings and maintain all required MEC operations forms and logs. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduate of a qualified explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) school with at least ten years combined military and commercial UXO experience. As an exception, a UXOSO may be a graduate of a qualified UXO school and have at least ten years commercial UXO experience, as required by DDESB TP18.
  • Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification IAW 29 CFR 1910.120
  • Current 29 CFR 1910.120 HAZWOPER Physical
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Broad understanding of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)
  • Ability to work outside normal work hours at short notice as dictated by workload
  • Ability to work away from primary work location in excess of normal workday
  • Ability to travel outside the US
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; ability to interpret and explain site policy concerning MEC operations practices to executives, managers, employees, and clients
  • Intermediate user level of computer systems; Microsoft office software (word, excel, outlook), inventory databases, and documentation control systems
  • Valid Driver’s License
