Deputy Project Manager – Federal Contracts (MMRP)
GSI currently has a mid-level opportunity with plenty of growth potential to support our growing Environmental and Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) programs. Our offices are situated in the heart of Boulder, CO. We offer an upbeat, fast-paced environment with flexible hours and hybrid schedule. Will consider candidates with three or more years’ experience supporting Federal contracts as a remote worker.
The project management assistant will support project, senior project, and program managers during the execution of Federal environmental and munitions compliance, characterization, and remediation projects. This is a career track position for team members interested in becoming a project manager. The ideal candidate would have a background in environmental science, engineering, or the MMRP.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with the project team regarding project needs and goals.
- Contributing to the planning and development of projects.
- Supporting the coordination and management of projects.
- Researching information as required.
- Performing administrative tasks such as procurement of services, preparing invoices, estimates, scheduling meetings, etc.
- Keeping track of and reporting on project progress.
- Scheduling project resources, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Completing any tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.
- Assists in the preparation and facilitation of internal and external project meetings with project team and clients.
- Provide project estimating, cost tracking, procurement, and schedule support.
- Strict adherence to company safety and quality programs.
Basic Qualifications:
- Have a minimum 3 years' experience supporting Federal projects
- Bachelors' degree in science or engineering, preferred
- Experience with procurement and management of vendors, preferred
- Command of Microsoft Office products
