Airborne ISR Engineer
Description
GSI is looking for an exceptional radar/RF engineer to join our on-going Science and Technology (S&T) efforts at one of the Army’s premier R&D Centers at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. As part of the Parsons team supporting advanced multi-function Radio Frequency (RF) capabilities development, you will have access to state-of-the-art engineering and modeling tools and subject matter expertise in the areas of RF, M&S, and software/hardware development for current and future Army radar and sensor systems. Working as part of our high-caliber, dynamic team, you will support the advancement of RF concepts to develop and implement advanced RF technologies.
Responsibilities:
• Building an end-to-end radar model in MATLAB for performance analysis
• Lead and assist with technical and engineering discussions to assist with multi-function use cases and design for RF systems
• Provide expertise on the development and integration of RF system components and utilize modeling & simulation to provide independent assessment and analysis
• Assist with the integration, test and operation of various hardware testbed and data collection systems for surveillance and reconnaissance applications
• Assist with state-of-the-art research in multi-function radio frequency sensor signal and data processing algorithms
• Assist with review of technical details and information associated with the design milestones, technical reviews and CDRLs
• Collaborate with various technical leads associated with the integration of multi-function capability into a single system
• Assist with design, SE processes, and documentation, associated with a multifunctional RF effort
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or physics w/ 3-5 years of experience in radio frequency sensors and/or intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR)
• Active DoD Secret Clearance upgradeable to TS/SCI
• Experience in RF/radar data analysis
• Experience in testing, including development of critical testing parameters and field testing
• Experience in hardware and software interfaces, including interfacing lab equipment to modeling and simulation code
• Experience in signal or data processing
• Clearly communicates complex ideas and produces/presents clear, well-organized presentations in relevant terms for audiences at all levels
• Coding experience in MATLAB, Python, and C++
