East Coast Based Candidate (Virginia and North Carolina region preferred)

Travel required: Once per quarter to assigned markets

The People Business Partner functions as a fully integrated member of a department’s business operation by providing comprehensive human resource consultation and support services with the express purpose of maximizing the effectiveness of business and People processes that promote organizational objectives.

Job Requirements:

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field

Work Experience

  • Minimum of three years of Human Resources, specifically in employee relations or strategic business partnership work required.
  • Proven experience in managing employee relations and conflict resolution/investigations of disciplinary issues required.
  • Experience in managing and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives preferred.
  • Health care experience preferred. 

Licenses/Certifications

  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRBP preferred.
  • Valid State Driver’s License required.
  • Must pass MVR background check

Essential Functions

  • Works with, supports and assists with the implementation and execution of company-wide HR initiatives, including but not limited to: Annual Mandatory Education, EOY Performance Evaluations and Licensure/Credentialing Compliance.
  • Analyzes and makes process improvement recommendations when people practices, or processes create roadblocks.
  • Alerts leadership to high-risk situations that may have an impact on the organization; assists in developing proactive measures to mitigate risk to the organization.
  • Collaborates with leadership and other People Partners in providing GoHealth leaders with appropriate advice on handling employee relation issues to allow leaders to make informed decisions for resolution to include, but not limited to employee discipline, terminations, mediation, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other related human resources issues.
  • Documents employee relations cases according to standard operating procedure in detail.
  • Support team member onboarding, engagement, recognition and offboarding.
  • Assesses the people learning needs for leaders and provides instruction, remediation, and guidance to achieve business objectives in a manner that provides value and customer satisfaction.
  • Supports talent and succession planning initiatives in assigned market(s) to help grow and develop talent to achieve business results.
  • Collects, tracks, trends, and communicates/advises leaders on employee turnover and retention data, exit interview data, disciplinary action data, recruitment and hiring data, etc., according to standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain relationships with JV-HR counterpart for assigned market(s).
  • Monitors leaders’ use of performance management process; reviews both the process and documentation used to evaluate and enhance job performance and to correct unacceptable workplace behaviors.
  • Collaborates with leadership and other People Partners to address trends or changes in law, policies, and practices as needed.
  • Works with leaders to create a culture of diversity where differences are welcomed, encouraged, and respected.
