The Leave Management Specialist provides support to team members throughout the organization providing LOA program administration and analysis support for the organization. This role will be responsible for providing LOA administration, ADA Accommodation administration, worker’s compensation administration, etc.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Education
 
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a related field or  
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
 
Work Experience
 
3+ years of leave of absence or other human resources experience required.  
Leave management experience in multi-state analysis required. 
Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel required.
Experience in managing and implementing projects and strategic change initiatives preferred. 
Benefits experience preferred.
 
Required Licenses/Certifications
 
CCP, PHR or SPHR preferred.
FMLA Specialist Certification preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 
•    Effectively support all LOA administration cases to include general administration and compliance with Federal, State and local regulations related to leaves including FMLA, state leave and wage entitlements, USERRA, ADA/ADAAA, as well as any company specific leave programs.
•    Maintain accurate records and documentation related to leave of absences, ADA Accommodations, and Worker’s compensation claims including leave requests, approvals, PTO payments, and return-to-work documentation.
•    Collaborate with People Business Partners and leadership to ensure smooth leave management.
•    Serve as a point of contact for employees seeking information or assistance regarding their FMLA rights.
•    Address employee concerns, resolve conflicts, and provide guidance throughout the leave process.
•    Accurate completion of leave of absence, disability, and worker’s compensation forms.
•    Engage with team members in the interactive process in partnership with the manager and accurately document the decisions concerning reasonable accommodations.
•    Assists with the development and implementation of company policies and procedures related to leave of absence, ADA accommodations and worker’s compensation.
•    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal leave laws and ADA Accommodations regulations and ensuring the organization's practices remain compliant. Conducting regular audits to monitor adherence to policies and identifying areas for improvement.
•    Conduct training sessions to educate team members and managers about their rights and responsibilities under the leave of absence policy including eligibility requirements, leave duration, documentation processes, and any other relevant details.
•    Projects: Assist the HR team with projects via planning, project management, data gathering and analysis.
•    Partnerships: Establishes productive relationships and rapport with customers to gain joint understanding of business goals, strengths, and opportunities providing timely follow up on issues/concerns. This includes being there to listen.
•    Field Support: Supports and assists with implementation of People Team initiatives to enhance successful rollout and acceptance throughout the organization. Alerts Manager on high-risk situations that may have an impact on the organization. Provide support for People Team initiatives to assure the successful rollout and acceptance of initiatives, policies, and programs throughout the organization. 
•    Assists People Team with special projects including spreadsheets for tracking.  Special projects include any Compliance related projects or employee engagement projects.
•       All other duties as assigned.
