Highlights of the job

We are hiring a full time Electrician I or II, reporting to our Anthem office in Anthem, AZ.

This individual will perform a variety of skilled technical duties including installation, calibration, alteration, maintenance and repair of water/wastewater facilities electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment and fixtures. The equipment includes: motors, MCCs, VFDs, PLC, meters, soft starts, digital/analog instrumentation, radio transmitters/receivers and field instrumentation.

What you’d be responsible for

Participates in the electrical/ Instrumentation maintenance control and repair of all related plant process equipment, including pumps, blowers, scrubbers, motors, chlorinators, chemical feed and sludge equipment.  Installs, alters, maintains and repairs electrical wiring systems and equipment motors, coils, transformers and control equipment. Orders, installs and tests new equipment. Calibrates process control instrumentation including chlorinating and lab instruments. Installs and maintains electrical/instrumentation systems, water pumps, booster stations, and wastewater lift stations and treatment plant.  Prepares and submits reports of activities, inspections and findings to the Maintenance Supervisor. Able to operate ammeter, ohmmeter, voltage meter, and specialized meters and instrumentation equipment.  Able to document work activities utilizing Computer Maintenance Management System.  May be required to perform other job duties in plant operations.

What’s required to be successful

All candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have valid Arizona Class D driver’s license, a good driving record, and capable of operating vehicles in a safe manner.

Completion of a recognized four (4) year electrical apprenticeship and instrumentation program. 

 

Must have knowledge of the operations, methods and techniques practices, and electrical servicing requirements of water production, storage and distribution facilities, wastewater and collection facilities; standard practices, materials, tools and equipment of the electrical trade. An ADEQ Certificate in Water or Wastewater highly desirable

 

Electrician I: At least four (4) years on job or equivalent experience.

Electrician II: At least six (6) years on job or equivalent experience.
