The Project Controls Manager position is open to both full time employee's and Consultants. 

The Project Control Manager plays a vital role to EPCORs success, sitting at the nuclei and boots on the ground POC for our high dollar major projects, acting as the glue to all moving parts. This highly visible role works closely with organizational leaders, teams, partners, and contractors, ensuring smooth successful results for each phase of the project from start to end. The ideal person is a well verse team leader, innovator and catalyst for change, designing and driving advanced level strategies to ensure the projects quality, safety, and cost effectiveness. What you’d be responsible for

  • Facilitate relationships with the PM teams, Projects, and Commercial services, utilize in-depth understanding of the EUI, Major Projects, Project Management strategy, and Project Controls to advise on Project Management plans.  

  • Develop and implement a robust project controls plan to manage large construction contracts.  

  • Development, implementation, review and continuous improvement of project management, project controls and document management standards, processes and tools to ensure compliance.  

  • Coach and mentor Cost Controllers, Schedulers and Project Managers in project monitoring, controls, optimization, scheduling, costing, and document management; Provide technical expertise and guidance for diverse projects of all scopes, delivery methods, and size.  

  • Apply expertise in project management and project controls knowledge to complex project management, costing and scheduling issues; assist with project recovery plans and proactive project planning.  

  • Assist Senior Manager in the preparation of internal team reporting tools to identify resource requirements for current and future projects.  

  • Assist Senior Managers and Project Managers in the preparation and development of monthly project reporting, governance, processes, methods, tracking, reporting templates, and dashboards; review project reports (cost, schedule and performance) from contractors and analyze accuracy and performance evaluations.  

  • Develop project related performance metrics (KPI) using industry benchmark data and professional judgement, and develop analytics in excel or power BI to monitor, track and report performance to leadership and other internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Develop project standards (SOP) to be used throughout project Management, Major Projects and Commercial Services projects including managing design, procurement, construction, commissioning, billing, reporting, and closure to meet or exceed scope, budget, schedule, and safety objectives.  

  • Develop Project Execution Plan templates encompassing roles and responsibilities, communications plans, safety plans, then document lessons learned over the project life-cycle.  

   

What’s required to be successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field  

  • 8+ years of project and people management experience with high-level  project control support  

  • CCC, PMP, and Project management training (preferred)  

  • Strong experience in Water/Wastewater or industrial systems engineering design and construction  

  • Expert liaison experience, fostering and leveraging relationships internally and externally  

  • Strong skillset in leadership, process improvements, and ability to develop, control and recover mega multimillion dollar projects, resulting in significant cost and time savings  

  • Advanced experience in project delivery such as P3 and design with in-depth understanding of the requirements of contractors and owner in project controls context  

  • Advanced expertise in document and contract management tools, data management, data analytics, business reporting  

  • Skilled in MS Project and Primavera P6, Oracle, Excel, SharePoint, @risk software, Power BI, contingency determination tools, project costing, and recovery tools
