Position Summary:

Conair LLC is seeking a Compliance/Shortage Analyst located in our East Windsor, NJ location.  You will be an integral member of our overall Finance organization with a strong customer service focus. This position is responsible for the resolution of all deductions and requires an organized, motivated, focused, hardworking individual with excellent communication skills who can keep pace with this fast-moving work environment. The successful individual will also need to possess a positive attitude and patience when dealing with the Sales Department, Sales Representatives, customers and co-workers.


  • Run daily reports in SAP for incoming shortage deductions
  • Provide POD’s, BOL’s and other documents from shipping carrier’s portal sites to dispute deductions
  • File claims with carriers in a timely manner to ensure unauthorized compliance deductions are repaid accordingly
  • Proactively work with IT, Sales, Customer Service and Shipping to ensure customers avoid taking future deductions (i.e. shortages, penalties, shipping charges, etc.)
  • Identify patterns and opportunities to reduce overages, shortages, and damage for customer deliveries.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of individuals within the department, company and external brokers, and customers alike
  • Follow up with AR/customer when additional documentation is required including customer web-portals
  • Reply in a timely manner to all requests by customers, sales reps, and sales department
  • Advise supervisor of problem accounts or related issues
  • Perform special projects requested by supervisor

Essential Qualifications:

  • Strong math skills and a solid understanding of finances
  • Demonstrated computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite required; SAP or other enterprise software preferred
  • A courteous and professional demeanor with sales, customers, co-workers while also remaining assertive and confident
  • At least one year of experience in an office environment and/or working with sales teams is preferred
  • Associated degree or higher in Business, Finance, or Math preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • A desire to solve problems and do so in a timely manner
  • A willingness to be flexible in work assignments and otherwise support co-workers when needed

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally for business (% if needed)
  • Must be Covid-19 vaccinated.
  • We currently operate on a hybrid schedule; candidate must be willing to come into the office 50% of time.
