What You’ll Do:      

The Senior Vice President of National Division Finance is integral to the leadership team for Century Communities’ homebuilding brands. This role is responsible for overseeing our Regional and Division homebuilding finance function, including high-impact analysis, reporting, budgeting, operational improvement, forecasting, financial control systems, and back office operational efficiency.      

       

Your Key Responsibilities Include:      

  • Oversee and manage regional finance and division finance teams.
  • Supervise the annual and quarterly business planning process, ensuring a high level of transparency and accuracy. Collaborate with the National President, Executive Vice Presidents, and Regional management teams, as applicable. 
  • Oversee strategic operations function to assist division and regional operations with pricing, market information, and underperforming community reviews.
  • Assist in underwriting for all M&A transactions.
  • Review and analyze monthly financial results, including reasons for variance from the annual plan.
  • As needed, perform post-acquisition project reviews comparing actual results with original underwriting to identify trends or gaps as well as areas of improvement for future deals.
  • Provide analytical support to Senior Executives to improve homebuilding operations and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
  • Create best operating practices amongst divisions and regional finance.
  • Provide analytical support to management to improve homebuilding operations and identify cost savings and revenue enhancement opportunities.
  • Serve as the driver of process improvement efforts driven to standardized processes in all aspects of the operations.
  • Guide divisions on growth objectives (forecasting sales, starts, closings).
  • Help Corporate Land with reviewing and forecasting land holdings needed for growth.
  • Assist Construction Services with direct construction cost reporting/forecasting/reductions.
  • Support all regional and divisional departments with special projects.
  • Perform other duties as needed or assigned.

       

Your Education and Experience:      

  • 4-year Finance/Accounting degree.
  • Big 4 CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in residential home building construction experience required.
  • Knowledge of NewStar and IBM TM1 a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

      

Compensation: Century Communities (the "Company") intends to offer the selected candidate an annual base salary in the range of $300,000 - $350,000 with the potential for other financial incentives. Actual offers will be based on a variety of factors, including experience. Employees will have access to paid time off, medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, and the Company's 401(k) plan.
