Description
The Commercial Operations Systems Manager is responsible for maintaining specific tools and processes utilized by the US sales teams. Support is provided through the Sales Ops team for quoting and contract preparation. Tools utilized are Salesforce.com, including CPQ and CLM, Tableau, and SAP applications.
The manager should have the ability to run analyses, reports, and prepare material for presentation on commercial operations activities. This position ensures regular interface between US Sales and Marketing functions, Legal, Finance, Customer Service, and the sales order fulfillment processes. The Manager regularly monitors and manages sales operational requirements to provide commercial processes and data in support of clinical sales functions.
Responsible for gathering requirements, relaying business needs to technical & functional team members, helping design the business solutions and implement/integrate designs to execute projects in timely fashion.
The Systems Manager demonstrates in depth knowledge of Salesforce.com, including CPQ and CLM as a user.
This position will also support clinical sales related value streams utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products and commercial processes. The individual will regularly effectively communicate with team members, internal and external stakeholders when preforming assigned job duties.
Primary Duties-
- Manage and assist with development of all SOPs and Processes for areas under Commercial Operations to keep documents updated, accurate, and relevant
- Maintain effective reference documentation, including; SOPs, business processes, process flow maps, training resources, etc.
- Maintain all contract related document templates for relevance and accuracy
- Assist in coordinating new product launches and sales promotions into the sales workflow to ensure that sales quotation and other processing systems are effectively integrated as part of the product launch
- Lead development of data driven business insights and relevant business reporting, including presentations, for internal and field-based leadership
- Assist in troubleshooting of operational issues as they surface; propose changes to systems and processes to fix root causes
- Work with various departments to align processes for best flow with regards to quoting, contracting, pricing, contract management, etc.
- Provide timely and accurate information collected by the Com Operations department
- Provide training, as needed, for new and existing team members
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Sr Director of Commercial Operations and VP of US Clinical Sales
Training and Education-
Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Marketing, or related field is required. An advanced degree in Business or other related field is preferred.
Experience-
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales, contract management, customer service, and supply chain administration preferably within a Medical Device Company
- Must have 2-3 years hands on experience using all Microsoft Office software, CRM databases (preferably Salesforce.com), CPQ, and SAP software packages
- Experience demonstrating priority management, attention to detail and problem solving and solution implementation skills required

- Proficient using Microsoft office; PowerPoint, Word and Excel, and contact management databases, ERP, Salesforce.com, CPQ
