Description

BioMerieux is seeking an experienced Vice President of Information Systems for the North America region.     

The Information Systems (IS) department is dedicated to supporting bioMérieux's ongoing success and sustainability. As the Vice President of Information Systems for North America, you play a pivotal role in achieving these goals by aligning global IS services with regional needs. Regional VPs are responsible for project builds and execution by leveraging their proximity to internal customers. They have a vital role in customizing global IS services to meet regional needs and ensuring widespread adoption within the regional communities. Collaborating with Business Services, they drive successful regional implementations to improve overall business performance and maintain global consistency in IS services.    

     

Key Responsibilities:    

  1. Global IS Strategy: As a member of the Global IS Leadership Team, you will help shape the global IS strategy to support business lines in North America while ensuring sound architecture and security practices.
  2. Business Alignment: In your role as an IS Business Partner for Regional Stakeholders, you will align regional strategies with business systems. This involves identifying, prioritizing, and addressing regional opportunities for cost-effective IS solutions, thus boosting business performance and facilitating transformation.
  3. Project Deployment: You will oversee the regional implementation of global IS initiatives and local projects. This includes developing and implementing IS services for local business teams, ensuring that your teams follow IS priorities and adhere to architectural principles. Ensuring the quality of delivery of IS projects and services in your scope meet the expected level, including securing compliance (Gxp – 21CFR11)
  4. Team Management: You will lead and manage a team of regional IS professionals to efficiently align with business and IS strategies, fostering collaboration within the IS department and with business teams. Ensuring your team’s skills stay current and in line with global IS trends is a key responsibility.
  5. Budget Management: You are accountable for managing and maintaining the regional IS budget, ensuring financial balance and responsibility.

     

Education and Experience    

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 12 years’ industry or equivalent experience along with managerial experience.

 Skills and Knowledge:    

·         Ideally, you have experience as a Director of IS at a regional level, or you possess relevant professional experience in information systems with a track record as a functional or country CIO. Additionally, experience in business processes and applications is highly valued.    

·         Demonstrated experience in managing large IS programs, leading diverse teams, and maintaining key relationships with business stakeholders for at least five years.    

·         Proficiency in market-leading platforms and awareness of technological trends, including SAP, Salesforce, and Adobe.    

·         Strong knowledge of business and support functions and their associated processes.    

·         Effective leadership and communication skills.    

·         Prior experience in global IS programs.    

·         The ability to understand business needs and anticipate future business process evolutions.
