We are seeking a highly skilled Automation and Verification Engineer to join our dynamic team, driving robustness of hardware, software, firmware, and algorithms into systems that shape the future of medical science.

    Position Details: 

     The Software Engineer will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and refactoring software components for our cutting-edge medical devices across desktop, web, and cloud platforms. 

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain software solutions for medical devices across desktop, web, and cloud environments.
  2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop software solutions.
  3. Refactor and optimize existing code to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  4. Engage in the complete software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
  5. Monitor software for bugs and issues, promptly addressing and resolving them.
  6. Document code consistently throughout the development process.
  7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, development methodologies, and tools to ensure our software remains cutting-edge.
  8. Provide mentoring to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  9. Adhere to and advocate for software development best practices and standards, ensuring our products meet the highest quality.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree and 10yrs or Master's degree and 7yrs of experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. Extensive software development experience, with a strong emphasis on medical device software or regulated fields.
  3. Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, SQL, Typescript, React, GraphQL, and RESTful APIs
  4. Proficiency in unit testing frameworks like NUnit, PyUnit, etc.
  5. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  6. A keen understanding of software security best practices, especially in a healthcare setting.
  7. Knowledge of FDA regulations and standards related to medical device software development will be an advantage.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The estimated salary range for this role based in California is between $ 140,800 and $ 169,000 annually. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
