Description

We are seeking an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to join the bioMerieux St. Louis MSC leadership team.  You will lead the continuous improvement program building the CI project portfolio, managing resources, driving project execution, and implementing best practices and knowledge sharing across the organization.  The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in implementing and inspiring a team for daily continuous improvement using lean enterprise tools.   
Primary Purpose and Overall Objective of the Job    
Ensures that Manufacturing existing processes maintain a high level of sustainable performance by continuously reviewing and refining them regarding efficiency, quality improvement, cost reduction and customer satisfaction increase with respect to HSE culture.    
May manage a team depending on the site size.    
    
Main Accountabilities    
  • Creates and maintains site improvement roadmap including cost reduction, service & quality improvement, rationalization programs and projects.
  • Defines programs and actions to improve manufacturing processes to reduce lead-time, to remove critical bottlenecks and to reduce wastes with appropriate tools (VSM…).
  • Analyzes continuously the processes, identifies deviations versus standards, evolution needs and proposes remediation actions accordingly.
  • Ensures that control charts and key metrics (OEE, yield, scraps, …) are deployed and maintained for the site and all work stations.
  • Infuses a continuous improvement culture through training, coaching, culture change and implementation of dedicated shop floor events with the appropriate tools (5S, SMED, TPM, 6 Sigma …).
  • Deploys and shares good practices among the CI community, assists other sites when necessary, and organizes/participates to benchmark events. 
Position Requirements 
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in performance improvement (Lean, Kaizen, problem solving methodology and tools) and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt education (or at least a Green Belt)
  • Results focused

  • Finance basics knowledge: understanding of Product Cost calculation, NPV & ROI calculations
  • Project Management skills
  • Training and Coaching skills
  • Excellent communication skills to shop floor, peers and upwards to site director level
  • Safety awareness, good understanding in cGMP and applicable rules & regulations
  • Management skills in case of CI team lead
