Barracuda Networks is looking to expand its sales leadership in the APAC Region as the company moves to the next phase of its growth evolution. The APAC Inside Sales & Renewals teams are based in our Hong Kong office and is responsible for driving new business across the APAC region in the <500 employee customer segment and industry leading renewal rates across the region, working in multiple languages, engaging with end users and reseller partners alike.  This is a great opportunity for an experienced inside sales leader to take ownership of a high growth, multi-million-dollar business comprising of both New Business and a large renewals portfolio. We are looking for an individual that brings a combination of skills in developing and executing strategies to drive new business sales and increase customer loyalty, continually improve renewal retention rates, and develop innovative cross sell and upsell programs within the team.  You will have strong, proven leadership capabilities that demonstrate your ability to lead and motivate a team to exceed targets and create a fun and performance driven team of renewals sales representatives.

This role reports to the VP Sales, APAC and is a member of the APAC Sales Leadership Team.

What you will be working on

  • Lead daily activities of new business inside sales team and a team of renewal sales professionals, including 2 team leaders in the organization structure.
  • Responsibilities include ongoing mentoring and support, performance evaluation, training-plan definition, and problem-solving.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to the team in the day-to-day management of account activities within their territory, including performance management.
  • Learn and understand all sales processes and drive continued productivity improvements, suggesting improvements as needed, implement, and monitor the impact of these changes over time.
  • Manage forecasting activities, preparing internal reports for management, month-end bookings, develop understanding and strategies to minimize churn, setting strategy and tactical approaches for maximizing new business sales and renewals retention rates across the APAC Region.
  • Hire, develop and retain top inside sales and renewals sales talent, managing the development of career plans for employees.
  • Own responsibility for achieving monthly/quarterly revenue targets through accurate forecasting and developing key sales skills within the team.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of products, pricing, and the competitive environment.
  • Learn and understand all sales processes and drive continued productivity improvements, suggesting improvements as needed, implement, and monitor the impact of these changes over time.
  • Openly communicate and build relationships with key Barracuda partners and customers across the region.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of products, pricing, and the competitive environment.

What you will bring to the role

  • Proven experience of managing an Inside, Renewals, or Customer Success team.
  • Valid Work Permit to work in Hong Kong
  • Strong English Language Skills, both written and spoken English
  • Mandarin business level language, written and spoken an advantage
  • Thorough understanding of a renewals sales business, including metrics for renewal retention, churn rates, expansion, net and gross retention rates.
  • A software sales background, with strong leadership experience of performance management, driving growth, team development and team performance.
  • Ability to thrive in a busy complex environment, managing change and delivering results.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • A track record of an engaging and motivating management experience, driving growth and team development and performance.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and strong prioritization skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of business practices and industry trends.
