- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to employment, compensation, performance management, and training & development
- Handles routine HR policy, employment, HRIS, and process-related inquiries from employees and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team
- Assists in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system
- Uses HRIS system to process employee transactions such as promotions, terminations, tuition reimbursement, and salary increases
- Creates employment verification letters and completes employment verification forms
- Facilitates the onboarding and offboarding process
- Facilitates I-9 process to verify the identity and employment authorization of new employees hired within the US and ensures all forms are valid before expiration
- Conducts New Hire Orientation
- Works with HR Central team to respond to audits and data inquiries
- Supports annual training through the Learning Management System
- Prepares reports using HRIS and other systems
- Proactively identifies and suggests HR process improvements
- Participates in the administration of performance management, merit and bonus processes and compliance activities
- Participates in projects with other HR team members on a variety of topics
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field required, or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years in HR operations or a related administrative role preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS, learning management & recruiting systems
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations preferred
