Purpose: | Storage, handling, and delivery of aviation fuel to customers in accordance with established operating procedures, safety and quality control requirements and standards. |
Principle Accountabilities: | - Aircraft Fueling
- Safely fuel and defuel aircraft in accordance with standard operating procedures and aviation regulations.
- Verify fuel type, grade, and quantity before fueling.
- Maintain clear communication with flight crew and ground handling staff during fueling operations.
- Fuel Handling & Storage
- Receive and unload fuel deliveries into terminal storage tanks.
- Transfer fuel between storage facilities, trucks, and refueling equipment.
- Monitor fuel stock levels and report discrepancies.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines and company procedures.
- Follow airport security guidelines
- Conduct routine inspections of fueling equipment, hoses, nozzles, and tanks.
- Report and respond to spills, leaks, or safety incidents immediately.
- Ensure compliance with aviation fueling standards (IATA, JIG, or local regulations).
- Quality Control
- Perform daily fuel sampling, testing, and documentation to verify product integrity.
- Maintain accurate fueling logs, delivery records, and stock reports.
- Assist with periodic audits and inspections.
- Equipment & Maintenance
- Operate and maintain refueling trucks, pumps, and terminal equipment.
- Conduct pre- and post-use equipment checks.
- Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- General Duties
- Assist with inventory control and terminal housekeeping.
- Support operational requirements during peak flight schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Aviation Supervisor.

Qualification Requirements: | - A sound secondary education with qualification from a technical college or institution.
- 3 to 5 years working in an industrial facility.

Other Competency Requirements: | - Preferably computer literate.
- A practical operator with a proven ability to get things done competently and on time.
- Have mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Able to self-plan and deliver results.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm and an attitude to work well with others in teams.
- Excellent interpersonal relationships.
- HSEQ and Emergency Codes compliance.
