Description
Title: Department Assistant - NHMP Danbury Vascular Surgery - Danbury, CT. Full Time/40 hours per week, Variable 8 hour shifts between 7:45am - 5:30pm, Monday - Friday.
Summary: Provides administrative support to department staff and all associated department programs to include the credentialing and licensing process to promote efficient and effective operations. Manages special administrative projects as assigned.
Responsibilities:
1. Provides administrative support by disseminating information through written and verbal communication to coordinate the work, educate staff, resolve problems and ensure quality in processes.
2. Coordinates, maintains and assists in the development of departmental programs to ensure follow through of organizational policies and procedures.
3. Responsible for coordinating the credentialing and licensing process for all physicians in Vascular, Cardiac and Thoracic Surgery.
4. Prepares spreadsheets, presentations, reports and special projects as requested.
5. Arranges and coordinates meetings for the department including staff meetings, in-house and external in-service/educational training. Takes minutes of the meeting.
6. Supports all aspects of policies and guidelines.
7. Processes and tracks Accounts Payable for the practice.
8. Other related duties include composing correspondence, maintaining calendars and schedules, and coordinates special projects.
9. Performs organizational responsibilities to achieve the organization's missions and goals with regards to customer service, patient satisfaction, teamwork, safety and development.
10. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
11 . Performs other duties as assigned.
Other Information:
Required: High School Diploma/GED. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. Works on multiple projects. Strong written and verbal communication, and organizational skills. Requires 1+ year experience providing administrative support. Associate Degree preferred.
Salary Range: $16.50 - $30.44 Hourly (Pay based per years of relative experience)
