Summary:

Under the general supervision of the rehab manager or supervisor, performs therapy examinations, develops treatment plans and establishes treatment goals with patient input. Applies interventions in accordance with the Standards of Practice of the profession, applicable state licensure regulations, and hospital policies and procedures to a variety of patients ranging from newborn to geriatric in age.

Responsibilities:

1.  Performs therapy examinations, develops treatment plans, and establishes treatment goals with patient input      
2. Establishes treatment plans and goals with patient input.     
3. Delegates and supervises patient related tasks to assistants, aides, and support personnel.     
4. Collaborates with other disciplines to provide coordinated interdisciplinary patient care.     
5. Within the scope of job requirements, supports excellence of the organization and customer satisfaction.     


6. Contributes to the ongoing professional development of self, department, and the network.     

7. Demonstrates willingness to work a variety of scheduling patterns within individual control hours.     
8. Makes independent decisions within the scope of defined job description, level of knowledge, skills and abilities but seeks guidance as necessary for performance of duties.     
9. Contributes to peer review as required.     
10. Utilizes evidence based practice for patient care.     
11. Meets or exceeds productivity and documentation requirements.      
12. Manages time effectively and consistently fulfills scheduled work hours.     
13. Accepts other duties as assigned. Adheres to all departmental and hospital policies.     
14. Accepts and utilizes feedback in a constructive manner.     
15. Demonstrates respect for others in open and constructive communications.

         Meets continuing education requirements for state Licensure & CPR Certification
