About the role
The Senior Administration Officer provides key administrative and operational support to the Director of Academic Innovation. This role helps ensure the smooth running of the portfolio by coordinating projects, communications, and stakeholder engagement. It requires initiative, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative and project support to the Director and Academic Innovation portfolio, including diary management, travel, and meeting preparation.
- Prepare and review correspondence, reports, presentations, and business cases, ensuring clarity and alignment with objectives.
- Maintain confidentiality and provide trusted advice on sensitive matters.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, committees, and project boards, including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
- Manage records, databases, and reporting in line with University policies.
- Support internal communications and promote portfolio achievements.
- Build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to process improvements, templates, and policy development.
- Undertake other duties as required, ensuring compliance with University policies.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant administrative/project experience.
- Proven ability to provide high-level administrative and project support in a complex environment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and achieve key milestones.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with university systems (e.g., LMS, CRM, finance systems).
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Supportive of the Objects of Notre Dame as a Catholic University.
