About the role
You will work closely with the National Head of Assessment to undertake the collection, validation and analysis of student assessment data to support student progress and ongoing quality improvement of the School’s MD assessment program.
Key Responsibilities
- Building and management of the Learning Management Site (Blackboard) relevant to the assessment program.
- Oversight of continuous assessment submissions, extensions and reports, liaising with domains and discipline staff to ensure timely intervention.
- Review of academic integrity breaches to support academic integrity processes and procedures.
- Entering exam and OSCE questions into relevant software.
- Undertaking item analysis, including calculating the standard set pass mark, Cronbach’s alpha and corrected total-item correlations, which provide key metrics for evaluation of the assessment program.
- Generating annual student progress reports and upload these to Blackboard for student retrieval.
- Generate student reports to support the ‘students at risk’ exam review sessions.
Qualifications, skills & experience
- Completion of a postgraduate degree, in a relevant field, or relevant postgraduate qualifications in a specialist area of medical practice.
- A capacity to work collaboratively with relevant staff to implement and maintain effective systems and processes for ensuring the quality delivery of the assessment program.
- An ability to foster relationships and communication with members of the assessment team and school academic staff to support implementation of the assessment program.
