ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

ABOUT THE ROLE     

The School seeks expressions of interest from experienced Laboratory Demonstrators/Tutors,into our Biomedical Science program on the Broadway Campus in Sydne. yWe are looking for sessional academic staff members with subject matter expertise in the following areas:
•    Anatomy and Physiology
•    Scientific writing and literacy
•    Chemistry   

Key Responsibilities
•    Conduct laboratories/tutorials to the standard of the Program
•    Consultation with students in relation to activities, practicals, weekly topics and upcoming assessments.
•    Assisting with assessment administration, such as marking, entering results and providing feedback to students as required.
•    Attend meetings as required by the Course Coordinator/Program Coordinator.   

ABOUT YOU
•    Qualified to at least one AQF qualification level higher than the course of study being taught, or with equivalent professional experience. A minimum of an undergraduate qualification.
•    Knowledge and understanding of current scholarship and/or professional practice in the relevant discipline
•    Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
•    Ability to deliver quality learning and teaching practices in multiple modes
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to foster high levels of collegiality and ability to empathise with students.
