Since its inception in 1989, The University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) has become a leader in higher education and now has over 12,000 students enrolled across its three main campuses in Broome, Fremantle, and Sydney.

The People and Culture team provides strategic, procedural, and legislative support and advice covering – Employee Relations, HR Business Partnering, Workforce Planning, Strategy and Transformation, Workplace Health and Safety, Employee Services, Recruitment, Talent Management, and HR Systems.

The Role

The Resource Manager is responsible for the management and allocation of the Universities Casual employees.  As trusted advisor to the University, you will ensure we have the right people, on the right jobs at the right time.  More specifically you will:

  • Developing strong relationships with Management across the University to understand their need and business requirements
  • Recruiting and onboarding Casual employees
  • Actively maintaining relationships with casuals to understand availabilities and capabilities
  • Call and deploy casual staff when support is required
  • Support and review timesheets prior to payroll processing
  • Maintaining casual workloads to ensure compliance with Fair Work
  • Using your strong stakeholder management skills to build key relationships across the University
  • Playing a significant role in optimising the utilisation of our casuals by: highlighting capacity, challenging hours and engagement timing, increasing productivity and profitability
Your Capabilities 

To be successful in this role you will have a qualification in Human Resources or related field.  Previous experience dealing in a fast paced recruitment or people resources role combined with your passion for people and achieving business and personal outcomes will help you thrive in our University environment.
